Position Summary - Advanced Production Associate
The Advanced Production Associate supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Advanced Production Associates may be assigned to different lines, machines, or departments based on business needs and are expected to cross-train and flex to other areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently, meeting quality and output expectations for the Advanced Associate skill tier.
- Set up, operate, or assist with operation of manufacturing equipment or workstations, following standard work instructions and documented procedures.
- Monitor product and process quality, identify defects or irregularities, and take appropriate action to correct or escalate issues.
- Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision, using job knowledge to prioritize work and solve routine problems.
- Support team goals by assisting peers, sharing job-related knowledge, and flexing to different tasks or areas to cover business or staffing needs.
- Consistently follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements; promptly report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents.
- Maintain accurate production counts and basic documentation and communicate effectively with leads and supervisors about status and issues.
- Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S/housekeeping expectations.
Current Primary Assignment – Panel Saw Assistant (Subject to Change)
- At the time of hire, this position is primarily assigned as a Panel Saw Assistant, supporting safe and efficient operation of panel saw equipment in our wood panel processing area.
- Typical tasks in this assignment include preparing, loading, and positioning panels on the saw per instructions, assisting with interpreting cutting specifications, monitoring saw operations for quality and safety, stacking, labeling, and organizing cut pieces for downstream processes.
- Over time, the employee may be trained and regularly scheduled in other areas such as additional machining centers, assembly, packaging, or material handling based on business needs and skill development. Primary assignments are not a guarantee of permanent placement in one cell, machine, or department.

- Willingness to cross-train and work in different departments, on different equipment, and work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed to support production requirements.
Preferred Experience (Panel Saw Focus - Nice to Have)
- Previous manufacturing or woodworking experience.
- Experience assisting with or operating panel saws, CNC routers, or other automated cutting equipment.
- Familiarity with reading basic technical drawings or cutting lists and using measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges).
