Graduate Vocational Nurse
Position Overview
The Graduate Vocational Nurse plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team in a professional and compassionate manner within the clinic setting. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, including administering immunizations and providing health education to patients of all ages in accordance with established nursing standards. This role prepares patients for examinations, obtains and documents vital signs and health information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and assists providers to ensure optimal patient care and flow.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating and delegating referrals, prescribed medications, and other patient needs; maintaining medical supplies, medications, and equipment; and ensuring accurate documentation of all care provided.
Qualifications
Required:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted license from the Texas or Arkansas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners (applicable state to assigned clinic location) to practice as a licensed vocational nurse once graduated.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification (BLS)
Preferred:
- One (1) year of practice experience giving direct patient care
