Medical Assistant -- Women's Health (550)

Genesis Women's Health and Gynecology, a division of Genesis Medical Associates, Inc., is currently seeking a Medical Assistant for our office located in Wexford.

Responsibilities include:

· Welcoming patients by greeting them in person and then preparing patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the exam room.

· Maintaining steady patient flow.

· Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment. Entering all information in the Electronic Health Record.

· Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; drawing blood.

· Sets up and maintains in-office procedure equipment and sterilization.

· Assists with pap smears, colposcopies, and other in-office procedures.

· Ensures patient follow-up is completed timely and appropriate records are kept - communication and organization is essential.

· Educates patients by providing information and instructions & answering questions.

· Performs Wellness visits and follows Quality protocols.

· Keeps inventory and places orders for clinical supplies as needed.

Candidate should have knowledge of an EHR system.

**Candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.**

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
