Genesis Learning Centers is a private, non-profit agency that specializes in providing therapeutic schools and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing intense emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning challenges. As a non-profit agency since 1984, we are proud to call Nashville and the communities of Middle Tennessee our home.
We are currently seeking a Social Worker at our Rutherford Academy location in Murfreesboro. Each of our students receive services designed to meet their specific needs on every level of care in a small, child-centered environment. Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are carefully developed and reviewed regularly with our students and their families as we want every student to have a positive, supportive, and adaptive learning experience. As a Social Worker, you will serve as a key member of the IEP Program team and will be responsible for promoting and enhancing the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home, school, and community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning. Salary commensurate with education, experience, and certification and is competitive with area school systems. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match, paid holidays, sick and personal days. This is an academic year position with summers off.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in school related counseling or social work.
- Special needs experience is a plus.
- Must have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve and believe that all students deserve a high-quality education.
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and drug screen.
