Position: Lab Technician
Location: Wilton Manors, (Greater Fort Lauderdale) FL
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM
Genesis Health Institute is a premier functional, regenerative, and anti-aging medical practice serving the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist to support our clinical team and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood draws with accuracy and patient-centered care
- Collect, label, process, and store laboratory specimens
- Prepare and ship specimens to external reference laboratories
- Perform in-house lab procedures (centrifugation, basic testing, kit preparation)
- Perform IM injections.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Follow all OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the lab
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as required
- Assist providers and clinical staff with patient flow and clinical procedures
- Deliver professional, compassionate service to all patients
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Certification (required)
- 2 years of experience in a clinical or laboratory setting preferred
- Strong venipuncture and specimen handling skills
- Knowledge of lab safety and compliance standards
- Experience with EMR systems (required)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Experience
- Medical office, outpatient clinic, or functional medicine setting
- CLIA-waived laboratory experience
- IV Certification preferred
- Customer-service oriented healthcare role
- Aesthetic procedure knowledge preferred
