Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our inventory team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, maintaining inventory tags and manifests, and maintaining efficient inventory operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience with inventory management systems to optimize our supply chain processes.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be 21 years of age or older per state law
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Applicant must be able to pass a state required background check . Violent felonies and theft of any kind will automatically disqualify anyone from this position due to state law. Information on how to obtain a background check is listed at the very bottom of this listing
- Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes
- Knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in inventory management software (Metrc) and Google Docs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with multiple vendors to maintain proper inventory levels.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of all cannabis products and supplies.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
- Create and complete non-cannabis orders for dispensaries.
- Work closely with department to ensure all inventory activities adhere to state and local regulations and are in compliance at all times.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.
- Track and report inventory discrepancies, including damaged or expired products.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all cannabis products to maintain quality and potency.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to verify accuracy and quality.
- Assist with various processes for cannabis production supply chain
Our hours are Monday - Friday, 8:AM to 4:30PM. We use an app called Gusto for all of our employee's to clock in, clock out, requests for time off, employee documents, access to employee pay stubs etc.
Genesis Employee's get two 15 minute paid breaks per day. The first one occurs at 10AM -10:15AM and the second one occurs from 2:00PM to 2:15PM. We get an 30 minute unpaid lunch break that starts at 12:00PM and ends at 12:30PM. At the Box Elder location only we observe 6 holiday's: New Year's day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
