Job Summary
Our company Genesis Energy, L.P. is seeking a qualified Transportation Driver to safely transport crude oil from the field to pipeline injection point or refinery.
Key Duties:
Operate an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank and drive to ensure safe transportation of crude oil.
Monitor and record bottom sediment, water percent, temperature, and gravity of the product during transit.
Accurately document volume and lease site load/unload activity in a hand-held computer for run tickets.
Prepare daily reports and other necessary paperwork.
Closely inspect truck, tires, tank, and surrounding area for safety concerns and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Report product hauled for accounting, revenue, and payroll purposes.
Promote and actively participate in our safety programs.
Requirements:
Holds a valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X).
Passes a pre-employment DOT medical exam.
Completes DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings.
Maintains a driving record with no more than two moving violations within the past three years.
Has strong English language skills - reading, writing, and speaking.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Two plus years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience is desired.
A Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is preferred.
This role must adhere to applicable D.O.T. regulations and is considered a Safety Sensitive position, subject to pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol testing.
