Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion a safe and compliant work environment across our manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols that protect our team members and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety awareness, continuous improvement, and accountability, empowering employees to work confidently and securely every day. MUST BE LOCAL! BILINGUAL PREFERRED.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and prevent incidents.
- Lead safety training sessions focused on OSHA compliance, first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and occupational health best practices to enhance team members’ safety skills.
- Manage incident reporting processes, ensuring accurate report writing and documentation of workplace injuries or near-misses.
- Coordinate workers' compensation law compliance procedures, supporting injured employees through the claims process while promoting a safe return-to-work environment.
- Collaborate with management to develop corrective action plans and implement safety improvements based on audit findings.
- Stay current on industry standards related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation law to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety standards, and EPA regulations are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and report writing procedures related to workplace injuries.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify underlying issues contributing to safety incidents.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training & development sessions for diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Pay: $24.20 - $29.14 per hour
