Overview
We are seeking an Estimator to support residential construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates from concept through final pricing. This role is responsible for analyzing plans, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and helping ensure projects are competitively and profitably bid.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects
- Coordinate with suppliers for takeoffs and verify quantities as needed
- Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain and update pricing databases and cost benchmarks
- Review plans for completeness and identify potential cost risks
- Collaborate with company leadership during the bidding process
- Assist with budgeting and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience estimating residential construction projects preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheets (Excel, JobTread, etc.)
- Understanding of building materials, methods, and costs
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
