What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Geneseo Development and Growth, Inc.?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Directs the procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate auditing procedures, accounting controls and services.
· Coordinates tax reporting programs (federal, state, sales, withholding, and unemployment).
· Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the organization’s annual report.
· Prepares daily cash, check and credit card deposits
· Ensures timely financial reports for management and/or Board.
· Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, personnel, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
· Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.
· Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
· Manages weekly childcare tuition billing.
· Reconcile and maintain checkbook and bank statements.
· Carry out all new hire paperwork and onboarding procedures
· Routes incoming mail and coordinates outgoing mail, including faxes and express mailings
· Answers telephone
· Send out AR statements
· Responsible for preparation of all vendor information needed for 1099’s
· Orders and maintains office supplies and equipment
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Assists the Director and Assistant Director in reviewing and approving supply requisitions.
· Assists the Director and Assistant Director with Food Program and State Reimbursements

Education and/or Experience:
Associate Degree or more than 5 years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Quickbooks.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
