General Description
Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager-Floating position is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operations of a full-service branch office.
Principal Duties:
The Assistant Branch Manager-Floating is responsible for the operations, lending, product sales, member service, security and safety in accordance with the Credit Union's objectives. They are also responsible for the sales, service, and culture through coaching guidance, and staff motivation. The Assistant Branch Manager-Floating is responsible for achieving individual and branch sales goals through new business, referrals, and the retention of our membership base.

Requirements
Working Conditions:
Able to regularly sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Extensive computer usage is required.
Moderate phone usage is required.
Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
Training / Experience :
Ability to grasp complex situations; adapt and learn quickly.
Associates Degree and 5-7 years relevant experience OR
Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years relevant experience
Comfortable with in the moment decision making, and adjustment to priorities.
Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations

Guidelines:
Staff Coaching and Development:
- Develop staff through formal evaluation process as well as one on one coaching and mentoring.
- Lead by example by emphasizing integrity and Credit Union core values.
- Motivate staff to promote and maximize sales as well as highest possible level of member service to ensure members are satisfied and retained.
- Deliver corrective action plans as needed.
- Exercise authority in matters regarding hiring, staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
Frontline Duties & Office Management:
- Follow and maintain established Credit Union policies and procedures for the entire branch, exercising proper discretion when exceptions are necessary.
- Manage frontline operations and expenses.
- Delegate day to day operations to appropriate frontline personnel.
- Ensure all branch staff understand all products and services offered by GVFCU.
- Ensure a clean and organized environment exists for staff to effectively work.
- Provide members with account, product and service information in response to inquiries.
- Resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner to ensure quality service and high member retention.
- Independently open new deposit accounts for members. Explain and review all account documentation and assume responsibility for proper documentation execution. Send documentation to members and follow up as needed.
- Research, analyze and resolve operational problems on member accounts and provide solutions with various GVFCU products and services.
- Recognize selling opportunities and effectively cross-sell GVFCU products and services.
- As needed, perform teller duties of processing, paying and receiving transactions, preparing and processing incoming and outgoing wire transfers, foreign drafts and accepts and verifies large merchant transactions.
- Ensure member transactions are complete and accurate.
- Input, update, and maintain member records and files on GVFCU's core processing system.
- Process and follow up with members on recent orders and transactions.
- Greet guests and members to provide general direction and determine appropriate area of service.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to the Credit Unions Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures and 'know your customer/enhanced due diligence' guidelines.
- Participate in special projects, sales campaigns, and assignments as requested.
- Assist in the compliance audits and examinations.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Sales and Business Development:
- Participate in community affairs to increase the Credit Union's visibility and enhance new and existing business opportunities.
- Schedule and perform sales meetings with your team, as well as one on one coaching.
- Plan localized PR events in associations with the Member Development
Manager.
- Actively participate in at least one community based organization.
- Retain, build, and grow relationships with members and future members.
- Develop growth plans based on local market conditions. Work with the VP of Branch Services and the President to coordinate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
