Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all individuals on site while upholding company policies and procedures.

Duties

• Responsible for completing daily assignments as directed by the security director or mall manager.
• These assignments include hourly inspections of the interior and exterior of the facility, ensuring that secured areas remain secured, watching for suspicious or criminal activity.
• Welcoming guests with a friendly face as a representative of our company.
• Assisting guests and tenants with questions or complaints
• Handling all calls and situations with professionalism.
• Completing incident reports as required for incidents that occur.
• Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the security director, mall manager or supervisor on site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Familiar with Microsoft Word and Outlook Email
• Must have strong listening and communication skills
• Must be able to follow directions
• Must be able to climb stairs, stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle (valid Drivers license is required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week

• This position is a rotating schedule for mid-shift to closing shifts. Hours range from 1030am-11pm. Are you available to work these hours?
• Our staff is on site 24 hours, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Are you available to work weekends and holidays? (Required)

• Do you know anyone that has worked for Genesee Valley Center Security or Housekeeping Departments currently or previously?
• Are you authorized to work in the United States?
