What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant position at Genesee Medical Group?
Primary Care and Cardiology office in Kearny Mesa (15 and Aero Drive/ Murphy Canyon) area currently seeking full-time Certified Medical Assistant that enjoys a fast-paced, patient-centered atmosphere. Successful candidate will have responsibilities including: rooming, history, vitals, assisting providers during exams/procedures, phlebotomy, injections, patient phone calls, insurance authorizations, maintain and clean equipment, completion of paperwork for patients/physicians and front desk coverage.
Requirements include: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; certificate in Medical Assisting from an accredited school; Medical Assistant National Certification (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, etc); minimum 1 year back office experience, bilingual preferred but not required; must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer experience including email, Word documents, electronic medical records required; must be able to work within a team with focus on patient satisfaction. A background check will be required.
