Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager leads the company’s Quality Assurance function and plays a key role in ensuring we consistently deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations. This position is responsible for the leadership, training, and development of the QA team while maintaining and continuously improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

As a companywide resource for quality initiatives, the Quality Assurance Manager works across departments to establish and maintain consistent quality standards, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure customer requirements are understood and met. This role serves as the voice of the customer within the organization and helps ensure quality is built into every level of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise the Quality Assurance department, including team development, training, and performance.

· Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Quality Assurance program to exceed customer expectations.

· Ensure consistent application of QA standards, procedures, and guidelines throughout the organization.

· Serve as a companywide resource for quality-related initiatives, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

· Develop and deliver training related to quality processes, inspection procedures, and QMS requirements.

· Perform and oversee inspections, quality checks, and statistical techniques used to verify product quality.

· Review and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and written instructions.

· Use appropriate inspection equipment to verify part quality and accurately document inspection results.

· Identify quality issues and work collaboratively with other departments to develop effective corrective actions and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

· 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, ISO 9001, manufacturing quality, or a related field OR a degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and written instructions.

· Ability to use basic inspection equipment to verify part quality and accurately record inspection data.

· Knowledge of inspection methods and statistical quality techniques.

· Ability to teach, implement, and enforce QMS requirements.

· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

· Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred, Not Required)

· Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Inspector Associate (CWAI) or a desire to pursue certification with company support.

· Previous supervisory or management experience.

· Experience conducting or participating in ISO 9001:2015 audits.

Compensation & Benefits

· Salary: 60,000 – 70,000/year

· 120 Hours Paid Time Off Year 1

· 8 Paid Holidays Annually
