Location: Davison Community Schools PreK for All. Programs are at Cardinal’s Nest and Central.
Hours:

• Monday-Thursday 8:15 am - 4:00 pm.
• 29 hours per week

Position Summary:

The PreK for All Child Care Provider supports the lead and associate teachers in delivering high-quality early learning experiences for preschool children. This role focuses on nurturing, positive interactions with children and families while helping create a safe, engaging classroom environment that supports each child’s growth and development.
Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Training or experience in child development or early childhood education preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn new skills and align with the philosophies and best practices of the program
• Ability to work positively and effectively with both children and adults
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Completion of all required documentation and screenings before employment, including:
  • TB test
  • Criminal background check
  • LARA eligibility
  • Completion of all licensing-required training and requirements
    

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
• Support daily classroom routines, including taking children outside in all seasons
• Flexibly assist across multiple classrooms and work collaboratively with all staff
• Follow program guidelines and State of Michigan child care licensing requirements
• Engage positively and respectfully with children, staff, and families at all times
• Promote positive group management and support children's social-emotional development
• Prepare and serve snacks as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, caring for materials and equipment appropriately
• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
• Stay informed through program communications
• Assist in planning and implementing child-led, interest-based activities
• Ability to take initiative as well as take instruction by lead and associate teacher
• Flexibility and a willingness to continually learn and grow professionally
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors and classroom leads
  

Additional Information:

• This position follows the Davison Community Schools calendar
• Opportunities may be available to work during the Lil’ Cards Summer Camp Program
• Staff members are eligible for discounts for preschool and latchkey programs for their own children

Salary: $13.87 - $14.92 per hour; commensurate with experience

• Early Learning Director
• Cardinal’s Nest Director (if housed at Cardinal’s Nest)
