What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Genesee Ceramic Tile?
Job Summary:
Customer Service is the lifeblood of Genesee Ceramic Tile. Not only are you the final POS (point of sale) for customers, but you are also the final person our customers interact with before leaving. You are also the last person in line responsible for catching and correcting any order issue, issue with contact information etc. Checking prices, placing orders, and interacting with all varieties of customers through different methods (i.e. Phone, email, in-person) will be required.
Job Outline:
Responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative include but are not limited to:
- Friendly and knowledgeable interaction with customers and contractors
- Processing customer orders, returns, stock shipments, transfers, special orders etc.
- Reviewing all contents of orders with customers before finalizing, as well as confirming contact information, getting signatures etc.
- Handling payments in cash, check, credit cards
- Calling customers with information about their orders, such as the arrival of a special order, material coming in broken, shipping updates etc
- Willingness to learn, take and give constructive criticism, and communication are all vital skills one must have in order to maintain proper workplace function
- Using gained knowledge to assure customers are getting the best product for their situation - each situation is different
- Maintaining privacy in relation to customer account pricing and usage - This is a key element to contractor satisfaction. Customers will try to use contactors accounts and get their pricing. It is up to us to make sure that we get a verification from each contractor upon each usage in order to use their account or to give out pricing.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
