Genesco Sports Enterprises (GSE) is seeking an energetic, organized, and motivated Trainee to join our Charlotte team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience supporting sponsorship activations, premium hospitality, and live sporting events. You'll work alongside an experienced account team, helping execute marketing programs while interacting with clients, partners, and sports properties. What You'll Do

  • Support the planning and execution of 80 hospitality and activation events annually
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for clients and guests
  • Coordinate event logistics, travel, hotels, and transportation
  • Create executive-level post-event recaps and presentations
  • Manage on-site event operations and serve as an in-venue resource
  • Coordinate vendors, promotional items, and activation materials
  • Assist with inventory management, budgeting, and day-to-day account support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1–2 years of related work or internship experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods


Compensation

  • $10/hour
  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Contract position (Late August 2026 – March 2027)
  • No relocation assistance provided
