Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Generator Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools, strong mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn about the installation and service of residential standby generator systems.
This position involves installing home standby generators, working with installation teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely and professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, and commission generators in accordance with local electrical codes
- Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related tasks as required
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Assist with site preparation, equipment placement, wiring, piping, and system testing
- Follow safety procedures and installation guidelines
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Experience using hand tools is required
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems
- Experience in electrical work or plumbing is a plus
- Ability to lift and handle equipment and work in various outdoor conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and dependable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous generator installation or HVAC experience
- Electrical, plumbing, construction, or maintenance background
- Experience working in residential service environments
