We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Generator Technician to join our team and ensure the reliable operation of power generation equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining generators and related systems to keep critical power supplies running smoothly. Duties
- Install whole house standby generators with a team.
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on generators and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and fuel system issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine annual maintenance.
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed to move large components safely during maintenance or installation.
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose system faults.
- Maintain service records, work orders, and safety documentation for all maintenance activities.
- Assist with customer service by explaining repairs and providing recommendations for ongoing equipment care.
Experience
- Prefer experience as a service technician, electrical or mechanical background..
- Electrical experience with knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to support client needs effectively.
- Willingness to learn and work with a team.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining a focus on safety protocols at all times. Pay: $15.00 - $29.38 per hour
