What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at Generators For Sale?
Looking for an outside salesman to work in home consults for home standby generators. This is big ticket item $7,000 to $25,000 sale. Must be able to sell large items and close. While it is not always technical, some homes can and need updating so they must have the ability to learn and understand electrical and gas utilities. Our sales process is very detailed and process oriented. Must be able to follow with sales process and keep track of leads using CRM and manufacture specific system.
We are receiving leads from multiple sources and have most of the market share in a 4 hour radius. We cover 5 states but mostly Nebraska and Iowa. No overnight travel is necessary but a fair amount of driving and windshield time is. Our customer demographics make for a no-pressure sale. The product is in a category by itself, so many customers find the value in purchasing from us. We are the highest ranked and rated dealer in a 4 hour radius. Our company prides itself on doing a great job every time which makes our referral business a high percentage of workload. The sales process is more education and less old school sales ABC's.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a sales representative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service
- Great persuasive and negotiation skills
- Proficient in technology and dealing with equipment and software
- Good driving record, background checked, drug tested
- Good interpersonal and presentation skill
- Able to travel frequently as required of the job
