Position Overview
Assist the supervising electrician on all installation of ATS and Generators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review sold job folders and confirm all electrical scope aligns with code and Generator Supercenter standards
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and trace wiring issues during installation and service
- Support load testing of generator systems and ensure operational compliance
- Assist in project preparation, including trenching, conduit routing, and setting mechanical components
- Perform AC/DC wiring and read electrical diagrams and blueprints with precision
- Install electrical equipment and components including panels, ATS units, wiring, conduit, and controls
- Utilize electrical testing and measurement tools proficiently
- Promote job site safety, cleanliness, and team collaboration
- Support and train electrical technicians, as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of professional electrical experience (generator installation experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems
- Proficient in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience working with conduit, electrical panels, transfer switches, and backup power systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various conditions
- Safety-minded and detail-oriented with a commitment to code compliance
