The Role:

As a Project Architect, focused primarily on sports projects, you’ll use your talent to assist on a number of projects, from training facilities to arena master plans. The ideal candidate is licensed with 8–12 years of experience, with a majority of that in sports design, and is committed to excellence while thriving in a collaborative culture. The right person is comfortable leading the design of mid-to-large-scale commercial projects and has an integrated, comprehensive approach to complex programs and technical solutions.

 

As Our Project Architect, You:

  • Take responsibility for design team coordination and are the primary contact for consultant coordination throughout the project.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the design philosophy of our projects and produce design documentation to support that philosophy.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and others to coordinate the design process, including the interface with the owner, consultants, and contractor.
  • Lead the Construction Administration process, effectively guiding the project to completion.
  • Have ownership for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client’s needs through planning, design, and coordination.
  • Prepare documentation for AHJ approvals.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals during construction for conformance with design intent and specifications. In addition to leading coordination with the internal design team on applicable reviews.
  • Produce phase-specific documentation per project work plan.
  • Respond to contractor’s requests for information.
  • Can work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Work on multiple projects and effectively balance the workload.

 

This Role is For You if You:

  • Can take the lead on design projects as the primary contact for consultant coordination.
  • Have experience leading the Construction Administration process.
  • Have 8–12 years of professional design experience working on similar project types: sports, entertainment, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use.
  • Have hands-on experience preparing documentation for AHJ approvals, collaborating with in-house or third-party specification writers, and reviewing shop drawings and submittals during construction.
  • Can produce phase-specific documentation per project work plan.
  • Are a licensed architect.
  • Have proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office, with an interest in exploring and learn new programs.
  • Have the proven ability to identify and solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Can work on multiple projects and effectively balance your workload.
