We have an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a full-time Generator Service Technician. We serve Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts and provide a company vehicle.

As a Generator Technician you will be responsible for the scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of portable and standby power equipment at Residential Sites. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain engines used in portable and standby power equipment such as electric generators. Diagnose trouble, disassemble engines and examine parts for defects and excessive wear. Candidate must have basic knowledge of electricity.
Requirements:
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Maintenance, troubleshoot and repair portable and standby generators and small engines
- Must have basic knowledge of electricity, small engines, gaseous fueled equipment generator systems or related equipment
- Experience with CAT5 networking is a plus but not required
- Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and maintain gas powered engines, electric generator ends, electronics and controls
- Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting and startup of new equipment
- Perform load banking and repair of standby power generators and automatic transfer switches
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams a plus
- Excellent written, verbal and customer communication skills
- Hold a Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Work well independently and as a team to solve problems and create solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Maintain spare parts inventory on truck, company supplied
- Keep service vehicle clean and neat
- Report any service problems to supervisor immediately
- Complete all paperwork in timely manner
- Ability to respond to emergency calls as required
- Dependable
- Generator certification a plus but not mandatory
- Able to pass background check and drug screening
