What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant position at Generations OB/GYN, PC?
Generations ObGyn PC, a large ObGyn group in West Knoxville, is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to work with a busy doctor at our Park West office. The right candidate should be motivated, flexible, punctual, detail-oriented, and excited to learn new things.
This person will have the opportunity to train in many aspects of the practice by assisting patients, other medical assistants, and different providers as needed. Duties may include:
- Greeting patient, taking medical history and entering information into EMR system
- Preparing patients for visit by taking patient vitals and documenting along with medical and surgical history, family history, social history, problem list, and medications
- Stocking rooms and maintaining inventory
- Assisting with patient in-office procedures
- May assist physician with patient exam
- May perform CLIA-waived laboratory tests.
- May perform or assist with instrument sterilization
- Following appropriate clinical, safety and laboratory procedures
- Working with other MAs or Physicians as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification required, OBGYN experience preferred
- AthenaHealth knowledge a plus
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to work well with a team
- Pay dependent on experience
Full Time Position, M-F, 8:30-5:00 pm. Benefit package includes paid time off, holiday pay which does not come from employee accrued time bank, uniform allowance, Health/Vision/Dental Insurance, 401(k) after eligibility requirements are met.
