Position Overview
This is a part-time, in-person, front office position in our outpatient geriatric mental health practice. The role requires a calm, professional presence and the ability to manage competing priorities and a steady pace throughout the day.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys structured work, multitasking, and being a reliable part of a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Check in/Check out patients and caregivers professionally and with patience
- Manage multi-line phone calls, scheduling, and front-desk activity
- Enter/update patient information accurately in EPIC, our electronic medical record
- Verify insurance and demographic information
- Scan, organize, and file documents electronically
- Assist with basic billing and data entry tasks
- Maintain an organized, efficient front office
Qualifications
- Respect for and interest in working with older adults and their families
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort multitasking in a fast-paced office
- Clear communication and professional demeanor
- Proficiency with computers and basic office software
- Dependability and consistency are essential
- Healthcare office experience is a plus; training provided
