Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our commitment to excellence in service delivery. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs.
- Inspect heavy equipment for wear and damage; replace shocks & struts, perform wheel alignments, and repair or replace HVAC systems as needed.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications; document work performed accurately in service records.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades; support heavy lifting operations safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Diesel Service Technician or similar mechanic role within a dealership or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and reading schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; comfortable using power tools and hand tools for repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; familiarity with tire service procedures is preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
