What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Designer position at Generation Love?
We are looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the fit process stays in line with production and action timelines
- Establish and maintain consistent fit standards for the brand, ensuring that every product aligns with our vision and customer expectations.
- Create and uphold comprehensive specs and grading rules for all product categories
- Responsible for organizing fit samples by marking all incoming samples as received, communicating with production on fit priority and setting up fit rack accordingly
- Track and measure fit samples prior to fittings and lead the fittings for assigned styles.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role
- Expert knowledge of pattern making, grading, and garment construction for woven and knit apparel.
- Experience working directly with manufacturers
- Confident using outlook and Excel
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple timelines.
- Clear concise communication is a must both written and verbal
