Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid on mid shift (3pm to 12am). This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business. The Role The Senior Intercompany Analyst is a key contributor within the finance organization, responsible for managing complex intercompany accounting processes, performing specific individual contributor responsibilities, and supporting day-to-day operational execution. This role serves as an intercompany operations team leader within its area of responsibility, balancing direct ownership of assigned process work with coordination of workflow activities, resolution of complex issues across entities and regions, and provision of day-to-day functional direction to indirect team members to help ensure work is completed accurately, consistently, and on time. The analyst applies strong knowledge of intercompany processes, policies, and controls to execute their own scope of work, promote standard execution, support sound issue resolution, and address operational challenges that affect overall intercompany effectiveness. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders and supports stable team execution through a combination of individual contribution, operational guidance, and issue resolution, while formal people management responsibility remains outside the role. What You'll Do Expertise 1. Process Understanding Possesses a strong understanding of intercompany accounting processes and procedures. Identifies issues and proposes solutions to leadership effectively. Utilizes systems and technologies to accomplish work assignments and support efficient execution of deliverables. Has practical working experience across the key processes within their area of responsibility. Acts as a subject matter resource in handling complex intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and operational issues. 2. Functional Awareness Understands various aspects of their function and how their operations connect with other departments within the organization. Integrates their work effectively with other functions to support end-to-end intercompany execution. 3. Problem-Solving and Policy Application Independently identifies and resolves non-routine issues in existing systems and processes using sound judgment. Applies appropriate company policies and procedures to address a variety of problems within broad guidelines. 4. Operational Leadership and Decision-Making Works under moderate supervision and handles nearly every standard or typical request independently. Provides day-to-day functional direction to indirect team members on workflow execution, standardized work, quality expectations, and process requirements within the area. Serves as a resource to indirect team members and partner teams on process execution, issue handling, and established ways of working. Collaborates effectively with more senior team members, seeks guidance when needed, and determines the appropriate course of action within broad guidelines. Supports day-to-day operational coordination within the team, while formal people management responsibility remains outside the role. Scope and Impact 1. Utilizes judgment within established procedures and practices to determine the most suitable course of action. 2. Ensures that problems are fully addressed and resolved within the scope of the role. 3. Initiative and Solutions Proposes new initiatives and leads the delivery of solutions within their area of responsibility. Drives cross-team collaboration efforts to support operational execution and issue resolution. Builds relationships with team members and provides resources and guidance when needed to support successful execution. 4. Process Improvement Recommends opportunities for process improvement to leadership. Proactively anticipates needs within their area of responsibility and helps address operational gaps early. 5. Impact The employee’s impact is primarily within their immediate work area, with occasional influence across the broader function. The role is aligned with a Senior Analyst who serves as an operations lead within their area of responsibility. The employee applies strong knowledge of complex intercompany processes to support operational execution, provide guidance to partner teams, and help ensure intercompany activities remain efficient, consistent, and well managed. Problem-Solving Applies learned techniques to drive solutions to problems, often involving coordination and integration of efforts from a diverse team of colleagues. 4. Daily Interactions Engages in daily interactions with peers from other functional groups and with indirect team members involved in the workflow. 5. Collaboration Collaborates with team members one to two levels above and with cross-functional stakeholders to align on solutions and execution. 6. Communication Adapts communication style to reach agreement in situations of moderate complexity, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to compromise while maintaining focus on execution and resolution. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Relevant experience in intercompany accounting, general accounting, financial operations, reconciliation, close-related activities, or audit. Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions and interact with stakeholders at different levels. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills, with the ability to resolve non-routine issues within established guidelines. Demonstrated ability to manage complex intercompany issues, reconciliations, and cross-entity operational challenges. Experience balancing individual contributor responsibilities with day-to-day operational coordination within a team environment. Ability to provide functional guidance, support execution discipline, and coordinate workflow across indirect team members or partner teams. Proficiency in relevant financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel to support operational execution and issue resolution. Willingness to work in a hybrid setup, mid-shift (3:00 PM to 12:00 MN), and night shift during peak season.
