Job Description Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Charlotte Technical Centre in Concord, NC on a full-time basis. The Role We are seeking a Motorsports Aero Senior Software Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. In this role, you will drive the technical vision, strategy, and execution of the UI/UX for our internal Aero Platform. You’ll focus primarily on frontend development in React, while also contributing across the full stack to build a fast, intuitive, and reliable user experience. A key part of this position is transforming complex aerodynamic data into clear, accessible, user‑friendly tools for engineers across multiple programs. You’ll collaborate with software engineers, aero engineers, IT, and other cross‑functional partners to ensure the platform is scalable, performant, and built on best‑practice engineering standards. What You’ll Do Design and develop the overall UI/UX for the Motorsports Aero SaaS platform Help define the technical roadmap and align it with program and business goals Optimize frontend performance and user experience Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate components, modules, and third‑party APIs Work closely with GM IT and engineering groups to ensure scalability, reliability, and adherence to best practices What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study 7–10 years of experience as a software engineer or similar role Advanced knowledge of React, JavaScript, and TypeScript Full‑stack development experience, including RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and consumption Hands‑on experience building backend services in C# / ASP.NET Core Strong understanding of modern software architectures, methodologies, and design patterns Experience with cloud platforms Familiarity with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools Proven ability to maintain and debug production software What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies (AKS, Azure SQL, etc.) Advanced full‑stack experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, React Query, etc.) Experience with real‑time data visualization, performance‑sensitive UIs, or data‑heavy dashboards Motorsports or racing experience, or strong interest in high‑performance engineering #LI-LP2 GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
