2nd Shift Production Shift Supervisor- Injection Molding

General Technologies, Inc. is looking to hire a Production Supervisor to provide additional support to our team!

Purpose: Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To)

• Set daily objectives and communicate them to employees
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Oversee and coach employees on a daily basis
• Ensure the safe use of equipment and tools on a daily basis
• Check production output according to specifications
• Submit reports on performance and progress
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Assure that new employees are receiving adequate training on how to safely use machinery and are following procedures
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained on a daily basis
• Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies and safety standards
• Reports to plant manager
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
• 2-3 years' experience of 'hands-on' injection molding
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
• Must be able to troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum output
• Must be able to respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions
• Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
• Must be flexible; able to work extended hours and weekends when required
• May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge in MS Office
• Organizational and leadership abilities
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is not mandatory but is a plus
  
  

Schedule

• Mon-Fri 1:45pm-11:15pm
• Must be able to work overtime and on weekends when needed
