he Robotic Weld Operator is charged with the responsibility for safely operating a robotic welding work center to produce high quality welds while participating in the communication of machine performance to ensure the station is working to its potential.
This job description is intended to be an overview of primary responsibilities for this position. All employees are charged with providing assistance in generally similar duties when management deems it necessary.
Organizational Relationships and Authority
The Robotic Weld Operator reports directly to the Welding Supervisor. There are no direct reports to this position
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Robotic Weld Operator is to monitor the condition of the welds produced by the welding robot. Additional tasks include:
- Safely operate the Welding Robot
- Must be able to demonstrate on a daily basis GSM's Core Values of People, Accountability, Integrity, Service, Curiosity and Teamwork
Physical requirements
- Must be able to reach below shoulder height to load and unload robotic work centers
- Must be able to occasionally lift 45 pounds
- Must be able to repetitively lift 25 pounds
