What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Utility Person position at General Shale?
General Shale Brick is seeking a Utility person for our manufacturing facility in Stanton, KY. This position is hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain good housekeeping in all departments of the plant, including the Grinding dept.
- Maintains a clean and organized Plant, including racks.
- Clean out safety guards from scrap belts in all departments, empty all bins in the plant including the dust collector in the making department.
- Assist the kiln car operator when needed in repair/rebuild of kiln cars.
- Participates with snow removal or ice in front of all entrance/exit doors in the Plant.
- Actively supports other crew members, when in need.
- Communicate & work as a team with other operators.
- Reports Maintenance requests to the Production Supervisor or Lead Hand.
- Preventative maintenance of mobile equipment. (Clean and wash)
- Work in a safe and efficiently manner, according to company policies.
- Works towards achieving Zero Harm Today
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Brick manufacturing experience preferred
