Job Overview
We are a family owned, Roanoke based business that has been servicing the area since 1982.
We are seeking a self-motivated, goal driven college graduate to handle existing accounts and solicit new business through cold calls in the Roanoke, VA area as an outside sales representative.
Training will include shadowing current sales reps, working in the office, and assisting with customer service and purchasing/receiving. Assistance with billing will also be part of the training.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow sales within assigned territories through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting features and benefits tailored to their needs
- Generate new leads through cold calling and following leads provided by the company.
- Manage existing accounts by providing ongoing support, upselling opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Negotiate pricing agreements with clients to close deals that align with company goals
Qualifications
- Strong management skills with the ability to handle territory management and lead generation effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to foster long-term client relationships
- Comfortable working with computers and using ERP software. Being able to use Excel, Word, and other software is also a must.
- Ability to conduct product demos and technical presentations confidently to diverse audiences
- Experience in retail sales or inside sales is a plus but not required; a proactive approach to cold calling and direct sales is essential
