Outside Sales Consultant, Parkersburg, WV – Marietta, Ohio

General Sales Company is a family-owned paper and janitorial product distributor. We are located in the counties of Boyd, Carter and Greenup Kentucky since 1968. General Sales company headquarters and 80,000 square foot distribution center is in East Park industrial park.

We are adding an outside sales consultant to our current sales team for Charleston, WW and Parkersburg WV. (Mid-Ohio Valley area.) The candidate will be responsible for developing new accounts and growing the business within existing accounts. The ideal consultant will need the ability to recognize the customer’s needs, create opportunities, and meet sales goals set forth by the management team. This is a commissioned sales position.
Responsibilities
· Perform consultive selling practices, create trust with customers / prospective customers, and explore their needs to provide solutions.
· Establish, develop, and maintain successful business and customer relationships
· Contact customer leads through networking and cold calling process
· Fulfill agreed upon sales goals and outcomes set forth by sales management
· Inform his/her manager about customer issues and special request
· Attend monthly sales meetings at company office location as required
· Work closely with other associates and company operations staff
· Complete and maintain required paperwork, documentation and emails
· Work / Train with manufacture factory reps / brokers to create new opportunities
· Review accounts with customers on regular basis and perform customer surveys*
· Input all sales orders on company software / iPad device
· Install, maintain, troubleshoot any installed equipment at customers facilities
· Follow sales training policy set forth from sales manager
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years in similar successful role
· Excellent learning, communication and negotiation skills
· Prioritizing, time management and extreme organizational skills
· Some experience on Microsoft Excel, Word and iOS operating system
