About our Inspection Facility
A premier experience begins with a great product, and the team members at our Elkhart Inspection Facility play a crucial role in our operations. Located in Bristol and just minutes away from the RV/MH Hall of Fame, our Inspection Facility serves as a check point where new units are received from manufacturers to undergo inspection and rigorous testing before continuing on to General RV dealerships.
SUMMARY
The successful candidate will lead a passionate team of service diagnose and repair professionals. The role will work to emphasize the importance of customer satisfaction and brand loyalty as well as to develop, train, and provide leadership to the department and its associates. He or she will also aid the organization in the development of best in class processes, procedures, and organization.
Responsibilities
- Support and recommend the separation of roles for departments.
- Lead and develop the tools to ensure that all RV related records are appropriately entered in the Job / Case Management tool as required.
- Lead and develop a service inspection staff, including but not limited to the recruitment, training, and retention of capable employees.
- Assist in the creation of a technical associate training academy.
- Lead, develop, and evolve departmental job descriptions and the respective organizational chart.
- Budget/Cost analyzation and tracking.
- Excellent communicator and leader who is results-oriented and diplomatically assertive.
- Strong interpersonal skills required. Able to anticipate, identify and resolve simple to complex problems. Proactive individual with strong troubleshooting skills. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Liaison between staff and manufacturers. Serves as the GRV advocate, including monitoring and supporting all activity and managing problem resolution. Responsible for managing the team’s, documentation, tracking, and closing of all product issues.
Qualifications
- Production supervision experience a must
- 5S and lean initiatives experience
- Profiency with RVTI & Motorhomes
- Excellent communicator with superior verbal, written, interpersonal, technical and presentation skills.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve in a fast- paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to respond immediately to tough questions with confidence
- Strong negotiation or organizational skills to protect the best interest of all parties involved
- Always Do What You Say, Say What You Do (DWYSSWYD), follow up and communication are critical to the success of the role
- Ability to “Seek to Understand”, direct with conviction and seek to understand again
- Excellent writing skills are a must
- Strong and consistent attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay organized and on task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
