What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Tech - Oven position at General Plastics & Composites LP?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload ovens in a safe and efficient manner.
- Select and verify correct oven cure profiles prior to operation.
- Complete all required production and operational paperwork accurately and timely.
- Record labor in and out using the data collection system.
- Move completed parts to the designated staging area.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Maintain 5S standards to support workplace organization and efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate and determine oven schedules.
- Safely operate and/or assist in the use of an overhead crane, as applicable.
- Follow all established work procedures and standard operating practices for the area.
- Comply with all company policies, safety rules, and work instructions at all times.
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience:
- No prior experience required.
- Previous manufacturing or production environment experience is a plus, but not required.
- Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to complete production paperwork accurately.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Ability to work effectively with other departments and team members.
