Business Operations Manager

General Placement Service is assisting their client who is a large and prominent commercial lines insurance company in the search for a Business Operations Manager.

The Business Operations Manager leads process improvement, system performance, and compliance initiatives across shared service operations, with a focus on workers' compensation. This role ensures business processes run efficiently, regulatory reporting remains accurate, and systems are optimized to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations to ensure alignment with strategic and compliance objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Monitor system functionality to ensure accuracy in compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to enhance system capabilities and reporting tools.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and KPIs to strengthen operational performance.
• Lead and coach team members, setting clear goals and fostering continuous development.
• Partner with HR and leadership on talent strategies that support engagement and performance.
• Drive change management initiatives to improve collaboration and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure consistent communication with internal teams, vendors, and business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in business operations, process management, or compliance oversight.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience leading teams and driving organizational change.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and enterprise systems preferred.
