General Placement Service is searching for a Bond Underwriter on behalf of a highly respected, financially strong national insurance carrier known for its disciplined underwriting, strong agent partnerships, and leadership in the contract surety marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive bond production by marketing to agencies and developing strong, strategic agency relationships
- Evaluate new and renewal submissions within authority; present recommendations on accounts exceeding authority limits
- Provide high-level customer service while resolving issues between agents, insureds, and internal departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial or business-related field preferred
- 1–4 years of contract surety underwriting or related experience (credit analysis, finance, accounting, construction, etc.)
- Professional designations such as AU, CPCU, or AFSB preferred
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
