Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Coordinate and implement training and support to all new and existing staff on all office procedures relating to the department.
• Prioritize daily assignments/tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor and make changes as necessary in accordance with Practice Manager.
• Communicate with staff about changes to provider schedules, patient appointments, and issues that affect office operation.
• Monitor staff performance and provide education, training, tools, and support necessary to perform duties.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to work through staff and office issues and assess when situations need escalation to the Practice Manager.
• Monitor daily call wait times and address as necessary.
• Prepare and conduct team meetings regularly.
• Coordinate monthly department schedule, distribute to the staff, and manage the staff time and attendance function, including approving timecards and paid time off requests.
• Work with the Practice Manager to address employee performance and corrective action issues.
• Write and administer annual performance evaluations in conjunction with the Practice Manager.
• Participate in the interview process of candidates in conjunction with the Practice Manager.
• Conduct first-level triage and investigation of patient complaints and route to Practice Manager.
• Deliver exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience across the organization.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education And Experience

• High school or GED required, associate's degree preferred
• Two to 5 years' experience in a medical office environment.
• Preferably within service line specialty.
• Experience and knowledge of medical office, insurance, and medical terminology.
