This role combines hands-on field service work with the opportunity to mentor and train new refrigeration technicians. General Parts is seeking a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. This role combines hands-on field service work with the opportunity to mentor and train new refrigeration technicians. What We Need
Field Service & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and kitchen equipment at customer locations
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency service calls on refrigeration systems, including walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and prep equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards
- Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and customer documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment issues, repair timelines, and preventative maintenance recommendations
- Train and mentor new refrigeration service technicians in both classroom-style and hands-on field environments
- Demonstrate proper diagnostic techniques, repair procedures, and safety protocols
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to trainees
- Assist in developing training materials, SOPs, and best practices
- Support onboarding and skill development programs for new hires
- 5 years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment
- EPA Universal Certification
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check
- Previous experience training or mentoring technicians
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
