Role Description The Furniture Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Amarillo, TX. This position is responsible for safely delivering, assembling, and installing office furniture such as desks, chairs, workstations, filing cabinets, and storage systems at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting installation plans, loading and unloading products, organizing hardware and tools, and ensuring furniture is installed according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements. The Furniture Installer will interact with customers on-site, answer basic product and placement questions, and report any issues or damages to the appropriate team members. The role also involves maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures, and assisting with warehouse duties and inventory as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with furniture installation, assembly, or related hands-on work, including the use of hand and power tools.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow installation instructions, floor plans, and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally at job sites.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and materials safely, often up to 50 pounds or more.
- Reliable work habits, punctuality, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; experience driving company vehicles for deliveries is a plus.
- Prior experience in office furniture, facilities, or construction-related roles is beneficial.
