Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their landscaping needs and provide expert advice on lawn care, plant selection, and landscape maintenance.
- Assist customers in identifying plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees through effective plant identification techniques.
- Promote and sell landscape products, gardening supplies, floral design items, and outdoor equipment using persuasive sales techniques.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions efficiently.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store environment is inviting and well-presented.
- Support inventory management by stocking new products, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory audits.
- Provide excellent customer service via phone communication and in-person interactions to build lasting relationships with clients.
- Assist with floral arrangements or floral design projects when needed to enhance visual appeal and customer satisfaction.
- Apply outdoor work experience to assist with landscaping projects or maintenance tasks as required.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Proven retail sales experience with familiarity in merchandising, stocking, and POS systems.
- Ability to identify various plants accurately and understand gardening best practices.
