The main purpose of this position is to lead a high performing Center of Excellence (COE) team that manages the use of GM's merchandise trademarks globally, manage the merchandise licensing program for consumer brands (GMC, Buick, Cadillac, GM, Hummer, retired brands) and emerging lines of business. Develop guidelines and marketplaces for emerging marketplace opportunities like NFT's and oversee the operations of the GM Company Store. This position is responsible for the revenue generation and expense control for this line of business.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a high performing licensing organization to reach maximum potential
- Develop licensing strategy, objectives, and tactics that support our vehicle brands' marketing strategies
- Work directly with merchandise licensees to develop products and merchandise packages that drive revenue and brand image
- Manage product review process, royalty reporting and collection processes, audits, license agreement development and licensee relationships
- Provide contract and royalty process support for GM Licensed Accessories
- Work with brand teams to ensure integration with brand activities
- Develop guidelines, processes, and GM marketplace for GM's NFTs
- Manage merchandise infringement activities
- Oversee GM Company Store licensee to maximize profits
- Develop and communicate overall business objectives
- Track financials
- Develop and execute marketing opportunities
- Ensure store properly reflects individual brands
- Clearly communicate strategy, tactics and results to management

REQUIRED:
- Strategic thinking-ability and interest in understanding how our roles can support, lead, and/or follow the Brand direction
- Communication skills-ability to clearly develop and communicate licensing strategy and recommendations to the brands and senior executives
- Curiosity-a questioning personality that looks at the products to ensure they are keeping the customer at the focus and fitting with brand strategies. Someone who continually seeks to find better ways to showcase the brand through licensed products
- Creativity - an understanding of the power of trends, an ability to understand what fashion and products are relevant now, where trends are expected to go, and where the brand needs to be along that path
- Financial understanding - ability to analyze royalty reports and store operating statistics and develop recommendations to meet objectives
- Legal understanding - ability to work with GM's legal team to help provide protection to GM's brand marks and their usage in multiple types of merchandise
- Computer and systems skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Comfortable learning and using online software (SAAS) and databases

Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Marketing and/or advertising experience required
- Sales or Merchandising experience preferred
