The Multicultural Marketing central capability is looking for a Marketing Manager to help shape the future of Multicultural Marketing for General Mills. With multicultural consumers making up more than 40% of the US population and $3.9 trillion in spending power, the current American landscape is the most culturally diverse and technologically fluent in history.
Within Multicultural consumers, Hispanics are the engine behind US Population growth, growing 3X faster than remaining population. Accounting for 19% of the population today and expected to be 28% by 2050, hence driving differential growth with Hispanic families is critical to achieve brand ambitions.
In this role, you will help shape the future of Multicultural Marketing for General Mills as part of our Central COE where you will have the opportunity to create company-wide Marketing programs, while working closely with our Morning Foods Operating Unit, helping the business teams build differential plans on iconic brands such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios, Lucky Charms & Yoplait.
We are looking for a driven and multiculturally-aware Marketing Manager who can proactively drive growth, build strong cross-functional relationships, think both strategically and creatively and influence across the organization. This role requires a person with strong commercial fundamental skills who can combine a brand building and growth mindset with passion for general management and building plans across the 4 P’s.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead Multicultural Marketing Playbook launch and training.
- Own tracking and measurement of key Multicultural brand initiatives.
- Review monthly and quarterly scorecards and reports to inform shifts to plans to deliver financial targets.
- Lead company-wide portfolio Multicultural events and support execution across key Customers in partnership with our Customer Marketing teams.
- Support the Multicultural Strategy LRP and Annual Planning Process.
- Lead cross-business unit learnings to ensure cross-pollination of ideas and partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to elevate the capability and be a driving force to make them happen.
- Unleash the power of people by empowering and developing teams through Engaging Leader behaviors.
- Be a strong partner to Business Teams by demonstrating bias for action.
- Be an advocate and champion for the Multicultural consumer across the organization and continuously bring new ideas in from the outside to inspire teams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work experience, ideally background in CPG Brand Management or P&L Ownership/General Management experience.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience navigating and influencing in a matrixed organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Multicultural Marketing experience
- Ability to strategically choose levers to balance short-term commitments and long-term needs
- Understand P&L mechanics and how to impact topline and bottom-line drivers
- Comfortable pitching to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to identify and evaluate brand building ideas across 4Ps
- Demonstrate comfort and capability with brands in all stages of growth
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $104700.00 - $174600.00 / Annually. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
