Maintenance Technician - Joplin, MO
As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance of processing and packaging equipment and providing technical support to improve and optimize within the manufacturing operations and processes.

Maintenance Technician - Joplin, MO
As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance of processing and packaging equipment and providing technical support to improve and optimize within the manufacturing operations and processes.
Shift hours:

8-hour shift
- 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- 3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Currently hiring for 2nd shift and/or 3rd shift (dependent upon business need)
- Two days off per scheduled work week
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and emergency events
- Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Pay:
- Up to $34.33 per hour
- $29.58 per hour up to $34.33 per hour depending upon skillset and experience
- Shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts

- Understanding and following all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment
- Identifying/diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, electrical and/or electronic issues
- Management of work orders, parts requisition, and data entry through understanding and use of Maximo Maintenance Management System
- Providing technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modification
- Understanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)
- Performing both uptime and down time preventative maintenance
- Effectively communicate and productively interact with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors, vendors, visitors, etc.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
- Assist in training new employees
What you have to offer:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 2 years (minimum) maintenance experience in manufacturing AND electrical experience
- Understanding of PLC operation, industrial electrical components and systems troubleshooting
- Must have a solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, ability to diagnose problems, repair or replace components, preventative maintenance and attention to detail
- Experience with various tools and technologies, including hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Ability to work independently and as a team with flexibility to quickly shift work priorities
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
