CNC Mill/Lathe Operator

Job Title: CNC Mill/Lathe Operator – 1st Shift

Job Description:

$19 - $25.00 per hour (Starting pay range based on experience) PLUS 2 significant Bonuses per year!

Under direct supervision of the Department Supervisor, a CNC Operator performs essential duties to ensure that parts are machined to the specifications detailed by the engineering prints/Process Engineer. Candidate may work closely with the Engineering Team and /or Inspection Team to trouble-shoot, evaluate, and perfect In-process Procedures as to ensure quality in the finished product. Candidate WILL NOT be responsible for Set-up/Programming. This position may be in our Mill or Lathe Department, potentially a combination based on production need. There will likely be potential for advancement based on business need and performance. Bilingual Applicants with some English as a second language are welcomed. We are looking to interview applicants with varying levels of experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (basic overview):

• Read blueprints
• In-process inspection
• Load and unload parts
• Select fixtures, part holding, and tooling needed to machine the parts
• Take direction from Department Supervisor and set-up/programming staff
• Position may require overtime
• Must be coachable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to run a job with minimal assistance
• Basic math and computing
• Knowledge of general safety procedures in shop environment
• Ability to meet production requirements
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must be coachable

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in shop environment
• 1 years of experience operating a CNC machine. Your hourly rate will be based on experience level.
• Technical degree is a plus
