Machine Operator

General Kinematics is the premier manufacturer of vibrating equipment for the processing of bulk materials. From vibratory feeders to entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials.

We are currently looking for a qualified Machine Operator to join our team and produce parts according to specified requirements and tolerances. This position requires working within a team environment with other areas such as Engineering, Quality and other departments within Production.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce and process parts from raw materials using manufacturing machines to include burning machines, hand drills, hand torch, drill press, shear, punch press, saws and surface prep tools/machines.
• Ability to measure in feet and inches a must.
• Hold shop tolerances up to /- 1/32 of an inch.
• Ability to measure with, read, and/or comprehend various measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, radius gages, and go/no-go gages.
• Record production and inspection activities in computer-based business system/program.
• Properly mark parts with operational codes when applicable.
• Identify and sort parts by the correct job number to the manufacturing floor.
• Direct cut parts to the appropriate area.
• Operate overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks.
• Be aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques.

Job Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

· Minimum of one (1) year of work related experience, preferably in manufacturing environment.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously.

· Mechanical aptitude.

· Able to speak, read and write the English language.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Good work ethic.

Pay: $19.00 to $22.00 hourly. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
