What You'll Do
- Building solid relationships with new and existing accounts
- Proactively prospecting for new accounts
- Selling and utilizing the meeting & banquet space in the most profitable way
- Achieving targeted revenue goals
- Using key sales strategies
- Conducting outside sales call and cold calls
- Detailing and being the on-site contact for select events and meetings
- Proactively sell meeting, banquet space and guest rooms through responding to client inquiries, engaging in sales calls (outside and phone calls), and conducting proper follow up.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts.
- Prepare banquet event orders and group resumes to ensure that group needs are effectively communicated to other hotel departments.
- Develop and implement sales strategy for the assigned market, completing action plans each quarter.
- Generate professional & effective proposals and bids.
- Generate top line revenue to exceed budget expectations.
- Attend all weekly and monthly meetings, BEO, Resume, and Sales meetings.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Perform all other duties / tasks assigned by the supervisor / manager.
- Hotel sales or business development experience preferred
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- Professional appearance and communication
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
