POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bag-in-Box Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our Bag-in-Box product line. This dynamic position is focused on expanding market share, increasing sales volume, and championing the quality and unique advantages of our offerings. The ideal candidate will foster strong, professional relationships with both existing and prospective customers, delivering exceptional service and strategic support.
In this role, the Bag-in-Box Account Manager will gain detailed expertise in the General Films Bag-in-Box system, including our specialized bags, filling equipment, and customizable solutions.

The Bag-in-Box Account Manager reports directly to the General Manager of the Bag-in-Box division.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Strategic Sales & Market Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow the Bag-in-Box business across assigned territories.
- Achieve a minimum year-over-year sales increase of $500,000 within the Bag-in-Box product line.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, converting leads into long-term partnerships.
- Identify high-potential market segments and target accounts to maximize growth and profitability.
Capability Leadership & Market Intelligence
- Lead initiatives tied to Bag-in-Box capabilities, including bags, filling equipment, and customizable solutions.
- Complete strategic actions and growth plans.
- Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, addressable market size, and key players.
- Track and update opportunities regularly to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Complete actions through New Business Opportunity (NBO) sheets for target tracking.
Technical Proficiency & Collaboration
- Become technically fluent in the Bag-in-Box system and its components to support customer needs effectively.
- Collaborate with management to develop demand forecasts and demand plans.
- Identify capacity gaps and lead targeted campaigns to address and resolve them.
Customer Engagement & Commercial Excellence
- Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Represent General Films at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings to promote the Bag-in-Box brand.
- Keep leadership informed of market developments, customer feedback, and new business.
Planning, Reporting & Systems Management
- Analyze customer sales cycles to avoid scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain accurate records, including:
- Meeting notes
- Opportunity tracking
- Lead and quote follow-up
- Market intelligence
Strategic Contribution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews and commercial initiatives.
- Contribute to portfolio management efforts to improve profit margins through regular product reviews.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Preferred)
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Required)
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in business-to-business sales, with a track record of increasing revenue (Required)
- Experience with Bag-in-Box and knowledge of packaging (Preferred)
- Experience in the dairy industry (Preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during customer interactions or onsite visits

- Manual dexterity to operate computers, mobile devices, and related equipment.
- Must be able to move throughout the plant for extended periods
- Must be able to communicate and exchange information clearly and effectively with others.
