Key Responsibilities:
Product Owner:
- Define, own, and communicate the solution vision, strategy, and roadmap for a specific topic area of the system
- Collaborate closely with Development Leads to ensure ongoing architectural integrity and technical enablement. Arbitrate technical decisions as needed
- Engage with customers, stakeholders, and Product Management to synthesize the technical solution into a coherent and executable strategy
Team & IPT Leadership:
- Provide direct line management for a team of senior engineers, overseeing performance management, career development, and mentorship
- Lead and direct multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensuring their efforts are aligned with the solution vision and priorities
- Facilitate cross-IPT collaboration, manage dependencies, and resolve impediments to ensure seamless integration and delivery
- Drive accountability and execution excellence across the engineering teams and IPTs
- Manage resource allocation and ensure the teams are structured for success
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of formal people management experience, leading and developing engineering teams
- Proven success leading multiple cross-functional teams or IPTs in a complex, large-scale development environment
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering, program management, or product development
- Direct experience in a hybrid role combining project technical leadership with line management
- Demonstrated expertise in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), with significant experience working with System Engineering tasks
- Experience in the defense or aerospace industry
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration
